What is Bioresonance Testing?

Bioresonance testing is a non-invasive, complementary assessment method based on German VEGA bioelectronic technology. Developed in the 1970s and refined over decades, it uses subtle electromagnetic frequencies to assess how the body's energetic field responds to a broad range of test substances — from foods and environmental allergens to heavy metals, pathogens and nutritional factors.

At Integrated Natural Medicine in Noosa, we have been using VEGA-based bioresonance testing for many years as part of an integrative approach to wellness. The testing session provides a detailed energetic picture that complements your clinical consultation, helping us to understand potential underlying contributors to your symptoms.

Important: Bioresonance testing is a complementary assessment tool only. It is not a medical diagnostic procedure and does not replace conventional medical testing or the advice of your GP or specialist. Results are interpreted in the context of your full health history.

What Can Bioresonance Testing Assess?

One of the key strengths of bioresonance testing is its breadth. In a single session, the testing process can assess the body's energetic response to a wide range of substances and stressors, including:

  • Foods and food groups
  • Gluten, dairy and grains
  • Nuts, seeds and legumes
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Food additives and preservatives
  • Heavy metals (e.g. mercury, lead)
  • Environmental pathogens
  • Parasites and fungi
  • Bacteria and viruses
  • Dental materials and metals
  • Phenolic compounds
  • Nutritional factors
  • Organ and system stress indicators
  • Environmental substances

Your practitioner will discuss which testing panels are most relevant to your presenting health concerns and design the session accordingly.

How Does Bioresonance Testing Work?

The VEGA testing device measures subtle changes in the body's electrical conductance at acupuncture points on the hands — a technique rooted in electroacupuncture according to Voll (EAV). When a test substance is introduced into the electromagnetic circuit via a test honeycomb, any shift in the galvanometer readout indicates the body's energetic response to that substance.

The process is entirely painless and requires no needles, blood draws or invasive procedures of any kind. Most patients find it a comfortable and informative experience.

What Happens During a Testing Session

1

Health History Review

Your practitioner begins with a thorough review of your health history, current symptoms and any previous testing or treatments. This guides the selection of appropriate test panels.

2

VEGA Testing

You hold a brass cylinder in one hand while a stylus probe is applied to specific acupuncture points on the other. Individual test substances are introduced into the circuit and the galvanometer response is observed and recorded for each.

3

Results & Discussion

Findings are discussed with you immediately at the end of the session. Your practitioner will explain the results in plain language and in the context of your overall health picture.

4

Personalised Plan

Based on the testing results and your consultation, a tailored naturopathic support plan may be recommended — which could include dietary adjustments, herbal or nutritional supplementation, or further investigation with your GP.

Bioresonance Testing vs. Bioresonance Therapy

These two terms are related but distinct:

  • Bioresonance testing is the assessment phase — using the VEGA device to identify which substances or stressors the body is reacting to energetically.
  • Bioresonance therapy (also called audiocolor therapy at our clinic) is the treatment phase — using specific electromagnetic frequencies to work with identified imbalances and support the body's own regulatory processes.

Testing and therapy are often combined in a single extended session, or may be performed separately depending on your needs. Your practitioner will recommend the most appropriate approach for your situation.

Who May Benefit from Bioresonance Testing?

Bioresonance testing may be a useful complementary assessment for people experiencing:

  • Persistent fatigue, brain fog or low energy with no clear cause
  • Chronic digestive complaints — bloating, IBS, irregular bowel function
  • Suspected food intolerances or reactions not identified through conventional testing
  • Skin conditions such as eczema, hives or unexplained rashes
  • Recurrent infections or immune system concerns
  • Suspected heavy metal burden or environmental toxin exposure
  • Headaches, migraines or unexplained inflammatory symptoms
  • Hormonal imbalances or reproductive health concerns
  • General wellness optimisation and preventive health screening

Testing is suitable for adults and children. Sessions are tailored to the individual's age, health history and presenting concerns.
